One of the greatest strengths of practicing in Chilliwack and Hope is the strong physician support. Whether it’s coordinating care, discussing challenging cases, or exploring the best options for patients, there is always collaboration. The teamwork between physicians, nurses and the entire care team has been incredible. It’s a very supportive and strong community.

What stands out most about Chilliwack is how genuinely supportive the community is. Everyone is willing to help, and patient care is always at the forefront of what we do. Because people truly work together, you never feel alone or isolated, something that makes a huge difference when practicing in a smaller community.

Professionally, I was never left to figure things out alone. I was introduced to the right people, supported through every step, and given opportunities to explore different areas of practice. From hospital shifts to emergency and clinic work, I was able to find the right fit without pressure to take on more than I wanted.

I am proud of what we have built here. I am especially proud of my involvement with the youth treatment centre. I joined its advisory committee during planning and now serve as the consulting physician. Very few communities have a dedicated youth treatment centre, and I feel honored to contribute to something so important for young people.
