Who We Are
The Chilliwack Division of Family Practice is a member-led, non-profit society representing family physicians and nurse practitioners across Chilliwack, Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, and the Fraser Canyon. We also welcome medical residents and students as associate members, building a collaborative network of providers and learners committed to delivering excellence in primary care.
We foster a collegial medical community where providers feel connected and supported. At the same time, we lead local initiatives that improve care for vulnerable populations, expand access, and ease administrative pressures on clinics. From enhancing mental health and substance use services to supporting frail elders, strengthening care coordination, and helping recruit the next generation of providers, our work is designed to make a lasting difference for patients and practitioners alike.
As part of the province-wide Divisions of Family Practice initiative, supported by the Family Practice Services Committee, a joint partnership of the BC Ministry of Health and Doctors of BC, we help shape health care policy, expand local services, and foster long-term professional fulfillment for our members.

Real Stories, Real Impact
What I appreciate most is how open people are to different models of practice. There is flexibility here. I value the chance to teach and to learn alongside others. Within clinics and throughout the community I have had opportunities to share skills, from using our EMR system effectively to performing point-of-care ultrasound or trigger-point injections. That kind of peer learning fosters real growth and keeps practice dynamic.
It is a great feeling being part of the community of physicians that are still working in the hospital, making a difference, and being part of a local solution for inpatient care
I appreciate how members of the division treat every physician with respect. Knowing I can reach out and be heard, even with what might feel like a wild idea, is reassuring. Because of all this, I chose to stay. I feel like my work here is more than a job. It is part of my purpose.
Chilliwack offered a really good balance between city and rural life. There is a large enough medical team to feel well supported, without it being so big that it is impersonal
